FlexibeatzII was born from the need for a free, easy to use step sequencer program that lets you use any .wav files for sounds and also offers powerful editing and synthesis tool-sets for each sound, with the ability to shape and sculpt sounds extensively and dynamically while the sequence is playing (but at the same time not compromising the ease of use of the sequencer).
FlexibeatzII is a self-contained, standalone ten channel pattern-based music-making machine with a gentle learning curve, yet one with considerable depth that can play along with your DAWs and midi gear, if you want.
Besides FlexibeatzII, this site also presents a number of other unusual sound synthesis and processing applications featuring algorithms and techniques I have either evolved myself, or adapted from academic papers, articles and so on. In fact, the site probably showcases the widest variety of 'off the beaten path' sound production tools for your music, sonic art, AV pieces etc, where the theory behind each of them is discussed and the source code of the applications also freely made available for you to learn from or build upon. Check out this video for a 'quick summary view' of these various sound synthesis techniques, the associated apps and the soundsets they produce:

I hope to keep the site growing with the results of my continuing exploration into sound, and ensure that it remains a relevant, useful and unique resource.
